Create New Part
The integrated GoServicePro parts master provides a place to set up all of the parts your company deals with. These parts include parts you service, parts you manufacture, spare parts, inventory parts, etc. Comprehensive features like revisions, parts catalogs, domains, bill of materials, and alternates make it easy to manage all of your parts.
Steps:

Open
New Part form in one of the following ways:

On the New menu, click
Part.

Navigate to My Lists and then click on
Parts and then in the
Parts grid, click
New Part.

In the
Parts grid, open any part and then in the General section, click
New Part.

In the Part Number* and Description* fields, enter the part number and description for the new part respectively.

In the RevisionRevision information is useful to identify not only major component part but also changes that have occurred over time and Model No fields, enter the revision and model number details for the new part respectively.

From the DomainPart domains allow you to define characteristics for groups of parts. Domains control things such as part serialization, inclusion in part catalogs, rules for installation into site asset configurations, etc. dropdown list, select the desired domain for the new part.

From the Family dropdown list, select the desired family to which the current part should be associated to and then from the Line dropdown list, select the desired line item for current part. Note that the line items list is in context to the selection of Family.

From the Warr. Starts From dropdown list, select the date from which the warranty starts for current part.

From the Status dropdown list, select the status as Active if you want to use current part or Inactive if you do not want to use current part or Obsolete if current part is outofdate.

From the Part Type dropdown list, select the appropriate part type for current part.

From the Repair Type dropdown list, select the option as Repairable if current part can be repaired and used, or select Expendable if current part is out of scope for repair.

In the Unit of Measure, Packaged Weight and Dimensions fields, enter the unit of measure, weight and physical dimension specifications respectively.

In the Notes field, enter any additional information to be noted for current part.

Under General, click
Save.
