Alternates
Alternates allow you to specify the appropriate replacement parts for a specific part. Alternates are very useful in logistics processing to help personnel find appropriate spare parts to send to customers or technicians.

Steps:

Open the desired part to which you want to add alternate part and then click on
Alternates tab. -
From the Add Alternate Part* lookup, select the desired part that you want to add as an alternate to current part and then on the toolbar, click
Save. -
To remove an alternate part, from the Alternates grid, select the desired part and then on the toolbar, click
Remove Alternate Part.
