Activity

The Service Contract Activity enables you to perform various activities like adding attachments, logging email/notes/phone calls, activating the contract, and close/reopen the service contract. The page also displays a news feed reflecting all the activities you have performed so far.

Steps:
  1. From the Log dropdown list, click:

    1. Add Attachment to add a new attachment.

    2. Log Email to record all the saved, sent and received email communications between the customer and the business organization.

    3. Log Notes so that technicians can provide a written description of work performed or actions taken.

    4. Log Phone Call to log all the phone calls between the customer and the business organization along with date and time stamp

  2. Click New Contract to create new contract.

  3. Click Activate Contract to activate current service contract and then in the confirmation message box, click OK. Once you have activted, the Condition of the contract changes to Active Contract.

  4. Click Close Contract to close current contract, and then in the confirmation message box, click OK. Once the contract is successfully closed, the Condition of the contract changes to Closed. Also, you should now be able to see the Reopen Contract button on the Activity tab bar.

  5. Click Reopen Contract to reopen a closed contract.
