Create Work Order From Case

Once a case is created, you can simply open that case and create a work order and then assign it to desired technician for working on resolution steps. There are two ways to create work order from a case – based on case details, and based on predefined work order template.

Steps
  1. Open the case for which you want to create work order.

  2. In the right panel, open Activity tab.

  3. From the Add dropdown menu, click:

    1. Work Order to create new work order based on details in the case.

    2. Work Order Apply Template to create work order based on template.

      1. From the WO Templates lookup, select the desired Work Order Template to apply and create work order.

      2. In the confirmation message box, click OK.

  4. Once the work order is created, the transaction will be recorded and saved in the Activity news feed.
