GL Accounts

GL Accounts are necessary for setting up Inventory Locations and uninstalling Site Assets. To set up Inventory Locations, there must be at least one GL Account with the Expense GL Account Type. To uninstall Site Assets, there must be at least one GL Account with the Capital GL Account Type named “Part Used Variance”.

Steps:
  1. To navigate to GL Accounts-Settings, on the left pane menu, click Settings and then under Billing Settings, click GL Accounts.

  2. To export the listing grid display results, click Export to Excel button and then save the Excel file to desired location.

  3. To filter the search results, in the search bar, type the keyword and then click Search button.

  4. To clear the filter results/search results, beside Search field, click Clear button.

  5. To create a new filter:

    1. In the Search bar, type the keyword to display search results in the listing grid.

    2. Click Filter button and then in the dropdown menu, Click New Filter button.

    3. In the text field, enter the filter name and then click Save Filter.

  6. To delete existing filter:

    1. Click Filter button and then from the dropdown menu, select the filter that you want to delete.

    2. Click Delete Filter button.

  7. To create a new GL Account:

    1. On the toolbar, click Add New button.

    2. In the snippet, and in the GL Account* and Description fields, enter GL Account name and description details respectively.

    3. From the GL Account Type dropdown list, select desired type of GL Account.

    4. To activate the GL Account and make it ready for use, enable Active.

    5. Under GL Types, select all the GL types that you want to apply for this account.

    6. Click Save.

  8. To edit an existing GL Account:

    1. From the GL Accounts-listing grid, select the desired GL Account that you want to edit and then, on the toolbar, click Edit.

    2. In the GL Account snippet, edit the desired details and then click Save.

  9. To delete an existing GL Account:

    1. From the GL Accounts-listing grid, select the desired GL Account that you want to delete and then, the toolbar, click Delete
