Skills
Skills and certifications are related to employees, sites, and site assets. They are used in the scheduling process to insure a technician with the proper knowledge is assigned to the work order. Skills represent knowledge your employees have and utilize to solve problems. Skills have levels from 1 to 5 to represent an employee’s mastery of the skill whether it is a basic familiarity or complete mastery of the skill.
Steps:
1). To associate a skill to employee:
(i) From the Available Skills lookup, search and select for the desired skill that you want to associate to current employee.
(ii). From each of the category levels, select the desired codes. Note that the category code values at each level are in context to the previous code selection.
(iii). Click Select and Close. You should now find the skill in Associated Skills list.
2). To approve an associated skill for an employee:
(i) From the Associated Skills list, select the desired skill that you want to approve.
(ii) On the toolbar, click Approve Skills button.
(iii) In the Approve Skills popup, click Approve Skills for this Employee if you want to approve the respective skill for current employee, or Approve Skills for all Employees if you want to approve the respective skill for all employees
(iv) Click Save and Close.
3). To delete/dissociate a skill for an employee, select the desired skill from the Associated Skills list and then on the toolbar, click Delete.
4). Click the Export to Excel button if you want to export the data in Skills grid to an excel sheet and store locally.
