Bill of Materials

‘Bill of Materials’ allows you to build a hierarchical representation of the sub-component that is typically found in a high-level part. The system can optionally install all of the sub-components into a customer’s site assets when the higher-level part is installed.

Steps:

  1. Open the desired part and click on Bill of Materials tab.

  2. From the Add to BOM* lookup, select the desired part that you want to setup as the high-level part, and then on the toolbar, click Save.

  3. To add a sub-component, select the high-level part and then from the Add to BOM* lookup, select the desired part.

  4. To further add sub-components, expand the hierarchy structure, select the desired sub-component to which you want to add a child and then from the Add to BOM* lookup, select the desired sub-component.

  5. To remove a sub-component, expand the hierarchy structure, select the desired sub-component that you want to remove and then on the tool bar, click Remove Part to BOM.
