Create New Service Contract

GoServicePro allows your company to set up basic service contracts for your clients. This allows your customers to know how long their contracts will last, what they are agreeing to pay, and anything else that you or your customer would like to see in a contract. While GoServicePro offers Basic Service Contracts, we also offer Complex Service Contracts to our customers Enterprise customers. These are available for companies that have very intricate contracts and want every option possible when creating and finalizing them.

Steps:
  1. Navigate to Billing and then click on Service Contract.

  2. On the header of the Service Contract grid list, click New Contract

  3. In the New Contract form, and under Contract Header:

    1. In the Title* field, enter the new title for the service contract.

    2. The Owner field automatically displays once you successfully create the service contract. Usually it is the logged-in user.

    3. From the Category* field, select the desired category codes and then click Select and Close.

    4. From the Type dropdown list, select the desired type of service contract.

    5. From the Status dropdown list, select the desired status code that you want to associate to current service contract.

    6. The Condition field automatically displays data once you successfully create the service contract.

    7. In the Description field, enter a brief description about the service contract.

    8. From the Last Name* lookup, select the desired contact to whom you want to associate current contract. The First Name field automatically retrieves data based on the Last Name you have selected.

  4. The Primary Contact Information section automatically retrieves site data based on the contact you have selected in the Contract Header section.

  5. Under Details:

    1. From the Terms/Conditions* dropdown list, select the desired terms/conditions policy that you want to assoicate to current service contract.

    2. From the Currency* dropdown list, select the desired currency type so that the billing process can be calculated as per the selected currency.

    3. In the Renewal Cycle(d) field, enter the number of days within which the service contract has to be renewed

    4. From the Contract Admin* lookup, select the desired employee whom you want to associate as admin for current service contract.

    5. In the Quote Effective* and Quote End* date & time fields, enter the start and end date & time details so that the service contract quote is effective for the configured duration.

    6. In the Default Service Start* and Default Service End* date & time fields, enter the start and end date & time details so that the service contract quote is effective for the configured duration.

    7. Enable Ready to Bill button if you want to include the service contract in billing.

    8. To enter total contract amount, click Show More and then in the Contract Total field, enter the desired total amount.

  6. On the header, and from the Save dropdown list select:

    1. Save and View to save and view the service contract.

    2. Save and New to save the service contract and open a new service contract form to create a new service contract.

    3. Cancel to cancel current service contract.
