Log Expense
Expense logging insures technicians have an easy way to record billable or non billable expenses such as parking, tolls, car rental, airfare, etc
Steps:
1). Open the work item for which you want to log expense.
2). On the toolbar and on the Log menu, click
Expense.
3). In the Log Expense window, and from the Expense Type dropdown list, select the option based on the type of expense.
4). The Logged By and at: fields display the logged in user and current time respectively. This data is read only.
5). In the Date field, enter the date and time at which you want to log expense for current case.
6). In the Quantity field, enter the quantity that you want to include for billing.
7). In the Rate field, enter the rate for each quantity.
8). The Total field automatically calculates the value based on Quantity and Rate values.
9). From the Bill-To dropdown list, select the option based on whom you want to bill to.
10). In the Notes text box, enter data that can be shared with customer.
11). In the Internal Comments text box, enter data that can be shared for internal use.
12). On the toolbar, click:
a). Save to save the expense log you have just created.
b). Cancel if you do not want to save the Log Expense you have just created.
