Log Remove
Log Remove is the tracking of the instance of part remove/uninstall transaction to record parts used from inventory or part orders as well as keep site asset configurations up to date.
Steps:
1). Open the work item for which you want to remove part.
2). On the toolbar and on the Log menu, click
Remove.
3). In the Log Remove window, the Logged By and at: fields display the logged in user and current time respectively. This data is read only.
4). From the Use Part From dropdown list, select Site Assets if you want to remove an installed part or select Part Catalog if you want to temporarily install a part under site part and then uninstall it.
5). The Repairable field automatically displays data based on the part you have selected to uninstall. This data is read only.
6). In the Removed Part field, select the part that you want to uninstall through advanced search field.
7). If you have selected a serialized part, enter the Serial Number and if you have selected a non-serialized part, enter Quantity for the part.
8). From the Failure Mode dropdown list, select appropriate option that best describes the reason for removing the part.
9). To dispose the part, check Update Inventory check box.
10). From the Part Disposition dropdown list, select:
• Good-Retain Part if you want to send the part to good bin with good condition.
• Good-Return Part to Warehouse if you want to create a part order with ‘Shipped-Dispatch’ condition and send to employee warehouse.
• Bad-Retain Part if you want to send the part to bad bin with good condition.
• Bad-Return Part to Warehouse if you want to create a part order with ‘Shipped-Dispatch’ condition and send to employee warehouse.
• Scrap Part if you want to send the part to desired scrap location.
11). On the toolbar, click:
a). Save to save the remove log you have just created.
b). Cancel if you do not want to save the Log Remove you have just created.
